Texas Instruments (klixon) 3MP thermal protector --- (current overload protection)
(I) Characteristics:
● 3MP current and temperature double protector is a protection element with dual protection functions of over current and temperature. It can quickly control the damage of the motor due to stalled motor or excessive current. It is produced by Texas Instruments KLIXON ® proprietary technology.
The working design principle is as follows:
(D) Principle of high current overload protection:
The auxiliary heating piece in the 3MP thermal protector is matched with the bimetal piece. It has the function of quickly controlling the overload current trip time. When the (motor, transformer ...) is over-current or the stall current exceeds the trip value set by the thermal protector, the protector can instantly cut off the circuit to protect the appliance. (Design range of tripping value of current overload: 3A ~ 30A)
3MP (self-contained) current overload protection overheating protection and precise control of current overload protection function of time, turn off the power again after turning (with manual reset function), it ensures a higher level -------- security.

(5) Temperature protection principle:
3MP thermal protector can quickly control appliance temperature. The current passes through the KLIXON ® bi-metal thermostat. When the electrical appliance does not work properly and the surrounding temperature is too high, the bi-metal of the thermal protector quickly disconnects the silver contacts to protect the appliance. When the thermal protector cools to a safe temperature, the contacts are automatically closed and reset. (Trip temperature selection range: 80 ℃ ~ 170 ℃)
